Being Coffee Smart : ROCOFIT PERSONAL TRAINING

If you love coffee you likely don?t just love it but you LOVE it!

Some say it?s good some say it?s bad, what to believe?? The truth is coffee has many health benefits and is a powerful antioxidant but you need to know when to have it, what kind and the amount. Coffee however does have a dark side, it can cause serious fatigue, play havoc on your sleep patterns and dehydrate you.

Here are some simple rules to fully enjoy your cup of coffee and it?s benefits:

1. Never drink coffee first thing in the morning ? You shouldn?t use it to wake you up

2. Drink coffee before training but NEVER after training ? After training it stresses your body when you need your body to be repairing itself

3. Avoid drinking coffee with food ? some say it keeps you from absorbing the nutrients of your food.? Better safe than sorry

4. Keep your coffee to 1-2 cups a day

5. Drink excellent quality organic coffee. NEVER instant. Instant coffee is not coffee, it?s simply _______ (fill in the blank)

The ideal scenario:

Mid morning a couple hours after you?ve had your breakfast pour yourself a nice cup of organic coffee.

How do you know you?ve had too much?

1. Not sleeping well and waking up tired

2. Waking up and feeling like you need a coffee

3. You no longer LOVE the taste you simply drink it out of habit
